Ok, so after waiting 3 months, Aoi Hana chapter 43 has finally been released from Lililicious! And boy oh boy, was I surprised by its contents. Seems like Akira is finally taking the lead!

Much Ado at the Zoo!

So! I had tons of fun at the zoo! Saw plenty of animals and these three are some of my faves!

The Meerkat! They're so playful and cute! Definitely my favourite animal at the Peterborough Zoo!

The Otter! We were lucky enough to see him go down his little slide and frolick in the water.

The Bobcat! He was soooooo cool. Just like a giant house cat! His eyes were beautiful.

And an awesome thing about the Peterborough Zoo is that it is FREE and open all year around! :D Check it out if you ever have the chance!

G!

So today I passed my Drive Test and got my G! For those of you who don't live in Ontario, this means I can drive with no restrictions and don't have to get tested ever again! (Unless I get cause a horrible accident or lose my license). So I'm rather excited!

To celebrate, my good friend Wolf Boy and I are going to the zoo in Peterborough and maybe sledding! I'll see if I can steal pictures from Wolf Boy to put up here for you all to see.

So, I've been totally obsessed with Aoi Hana lately. I've been watching the anime and re-reading the manga. It really is a story that sets one's heart a flutter! No lie there! I love it so much!

For those yuri fans out there who have never checked out Aoi Hana, I highly recommend it. Now if only chapter 43 of the manga would come out sooner rather than later...

Dawn and Marra

So, Thursday night I hit up Slack's bar in down town Toronto and they were having a live music night (they have it every Thursday apparently). I had the privilege of hearing two lovely ladies perform. They are Dawn and Marra, and I must say, they are absolutely AMAZING! The have such a kick ass sound, it just blew me away. If you ever get the chance to see them, DO IT. You will not regret it!

Long time no talk

Sorry I've been away for such a long time. I don't really have a reason for it except laziness. I currently am looking for a job. But not a crap job like McDonalds or the like. I want something relating to animals whether it be working as a dog walker or in a pet store. So far my search hasn't been going well. I've applied to tons of jobs but I've only heard back from one employer... and then I didn't get that job either haha. Ah well.

I guess I'll spice up this post by putting up a few random pictures :P

I read Yotsuba& a little while back and totally enjoyed it. But I totally had my yuri goggles on in regards to Asagi and Torako. I mean, just look at 'em! And if Torako doesn't scream kick-ass lesbian, I don't know who does. Plus, the two of them ALWAYS spend time together doing date-like things! I wish there was a doujin or more fanfics about them!

I must say, I am very excited about this new poster for Evangelion 3.0. I've been waiting years now for any news about it and am happy that I only have to wait till fall 2012 and then it will finally be released in Japan! "Pirate" Asuka is just so exciting!

Right now I've been like totally obsessed with Tomoe Marguerite from Mai Otome. I'm seriously considering growing my hair out like hers. We're both crazies so we gotta stick together. But I know haterz gonna hate! I'm still a huge ShizNat fan regardless :)

Lovin' the Holidays!

Hey all, sorry it's been a while. I've just been so busy with the holidays. I got a nice 32 inch LED TV (YES!!!!!!!!!) and tons of gift cards. I've already thrown away a ton of money at American Eagle, and now I have to hit up Joe Fresh and Michael's. I'm especially excited for Michael's though since I'll be purchasing material to finally be able to start making some decent jewelry. I hope to one day be able to sell it online or at local bazaars and what not.

Moving Update

OK, I don't know what it is with this house, but its like upon entering it, I am overcome with laziness. So, that being said, you can probably guess how productive I've been... I mean I have packed a little, but it's such a mess!

Frightening, no? And that's just my room! I still have kitchen stuff and tons of other things throughout the house that I need to organize and pack too... FML.

In other news, my lovely flower just sent me a beautiful work of art. Sure it's a little bit sad and angsty, but I still think it's amazing.

God, she's great. Still it is such a confusing situation. Guess I'll just continue to go with the flow...

Moving Phase 01

So today I'm heading to my old apartment to start phase one of the moving process. It should be interesting since I have been living like a slob up there. I'll be doing lots of organizing, throwing out and donating. It's time to un-clutter the old stuff in my life so I can make room for the new things.

Me and my flower have been keeping in contact. Still it's rough since she's about an hour away and there's still the boyfriend I have to worry about lol. Gah, maybe I should quit while I'm ahead. She's already made it clear to me that if it boils down to him or me, that she would choose him. So that's a big downer, but I know that she's feeling confused about it. I shouldn't be so selfish I guess.

Anyway, gotta get ready for the big drive to good ol' Lindsay to move out. I'll talk to you all later!

Terrific Tuesday

So today, my twin brother and I went out to have an all you can eat sushi lunch. It was AMAZING (Like usual). If anyone is ever in Mississauga, I highly recommend Kanda Sushi. We had tempura, maki, hand rolls, sushi, chicken, green tea and ended off with some lovely red bean ice cream. After wards, we drove to the mall to get some Christmas shopping done. While there, we decided to pop into the pet store to check out the animals. Personally, I think pet stores shouldn't be selling puppies and kittens when there are so many without homes in the world. PLEASE ADOPT! Anyway, we were browsing the birds when we caught sight of this one funny looking finch. His feathers were all ruffled and he could barely stand on the perch (Check him out in the video below)! He was so cute! If he wasn't over $100, I totally would have taken him home. Hopefully he'll get a home soon.

Back in the hood

So I'm back in my hometown for the holidays. I was hoping to get some relaxing in, but there's so much I have to take care of! I have to move (again), do Christmas shopping, schedule a drivers test, get a job and so on! Holy moly! I just want to kick back for a bit, but tomorrow I'm off to my college's town to pack as much as I can and bring a lot of stuff home. I'll try and shoot off another post later today. Keep it cool!

Don't you love it when something amazing happens in your life and you didn't really expect it? I guess it's like one of those patience things (patience is something I lack). I think I'll look at it more like I'm a nice person, so what goes around comes around.

I bet you all are wondering why I'm in such a randomly good mood (or why I'm "glowing" haha), welllllll~
I met a girl. However, she has a boyfriend (the big ol' bad B word). I know, what you're thinking: "QUIT WHILE YOU'RE AHEAD!" but no. They have an "open relationship" and she's totally bi (a good B word :P). I totally won her over with my chivalrous charm. Ok maybe not, but I was really nice to her and she liked me :). We immediately became fast friends (and how could I not show interest in her? She's so friggin cute!) and then... bang. Well, not really bang per say, but still!

I have no idea where this is going to go, but I know not to expect much. Ima just go with the flow and ride it out.

In other news... IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS! I'm soooooooooooooo excited! I hope Santa will be good to me!

The beginning of the end is the beginning of the new

Hey All,

I know that I have been totally MIA for the last while. I don't really plan on catching up with everything I missed reporting on, but I will give a wee summary where I'm at now:
-I've dropped out of school
-I'm living at home
-Looking for a job
-Am on a journey to wellness
Sounds exciting, eh? I'm sure that there will be some interesting things going on in good ol' Mississauga during the holidays! So I'll be sure to keep things as upbeat and interesting as I can! I am also happy to announce that I will be once again be in the dating scene again! So if you're a pretty lady, don't be afraid to contact me! (You know I'm joking though).
I'm really excited to start this new chapter of my life! Wish me luck!

Febuary already!

It's been ages since I have posted anything! I'm sorry for anyone who was following me. I'm going to try and get back on track perhaps in late March. I'm moving AGAIN! So I'm uber busy with that and my school work. I'll be sure to take pictures if I do anything interesting during class.

Vertebrate Biology - Birds

So today in our Vertebrate Biology class, we got to dissect some ducks! I was able to grab the best duck (a beautiful adult male wood duck). I couldn't help but pluck a few of his nicer feathers to add to my collection that I've started. Too bad a lot of them were covered in blood already.

Ode to Dorothy

Ok, so Dorothy is my 90 year old land lady. She is QUITE the character. In this post, I just wanna highlight a few of her behaviours and quotes.

The other day during lunch, she was asking me: "Who's the coloured lady that speaks?" it was a pretty random question and I just blurted out "Oprah?" and that was who she was referring to.

I have a roommate and close friend of mine named Glen who Dorothy often refers to as Kevin, which was the boy who used to occupy the room Glen is in now. She's always bouncing back and fourth between Kevin and Glen. Glen can't help be worried, because she might get the wrong idea that Kevin isn't paying his rent.

She goes to bed at 7:30 pm and wakes up between 1-2 am. Need I say more?

She often yells at her TV, claiming "If only I was mayor" or "You're all going to hell!". I hear her often since my room is the closest to the living room.

When ever Dorothy finds something broken, she always blames it on our roommate Chris. We can't help but think that it's because of his long hair.

I think the loneliness must get to her when she's not renting out, cuz once she gets started talking, she doesn't stop for a good hour. I'm worried one day she'll make me late for class.

So this is a glimpse of living life with Dorothy. I'll be sure to post it if there are any new outrageous things Dorothy does. After all, I've only been here for a week!

Nothing new to report.

The last few days have been pretty dull. I've basically just been working my butt off catching up with school and trying to find a decent place to live. I would also like to correct something I said in a previous post. I mentioned the food that the 90 year old land lady makes for us was good... far from it. I was mistaken from one meal. The rest haven't been that great... and I've heard worse is to come. Ah well. Hopefully I'll be out of here in less than a month. Till then, my stomach better be able to handle it!

Tomorrow is my Vertebrate Biology class so hopefully we'll do something interesting like dissect a squirrel or something. Look forward to my next post haha.

A Limnological Day

Today I had some mandatory field trip for my Limnology I Class (Limnology means the study of freshwater ecosystems). So I woke up at 6 am to catch the bus at 7:30 am. We arrived at Shelter Valley Creek around 9 am and we were there until about 4:30 where we finally arrived home at 5:45. We basically spent the whole day electrofishing, surveying the creek, doing water chemistry, catching aquatic invertebrates and... making art with reeds! The latter was more or less a product of my friend and I being extremely bored with completing repetitive water chemistry procedures. What a day!
